Sustainable Farming in Eastern Idaho

Roots and Grow Farm

But what is

Sustainable Farming?

Sustainable Farming refers to meeting society’s present food needs while making the most efficient use of nonrenewable resources by enhancing their quality without compromising the ability for current or future generations to meet their needs.

Located in Saint Anthony, ID and framed with the majestic Teton Mountains as a backdrop Roots and Grow Farm is commitment to grow the highest quality produce we can while caring for the soil and providing our abundance to the community.

We do not use chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, etc. Instead, we do use compost, compost tea, worm casting, and occasionally OMRI certified organic amendments.

We are taking applications for our Summer CSA

Harvesting when ripe provides a better nutritional value

“The food as medicine movement is quickly picking up, physicians and healthcare institutions begin to recognize the many benefits of making food an integral part of healthy living.

Instead of simply prescribing a “pill for an ill,” an ever-growing number of physicians choose to integrate dietary changes in their healthcare recommendations.

More resources should be allocated to smaller, local farms that produce healthier food and do less damage to the environment.”
